CONSCIOUS CONNECTED BREATHWORK

Breathwork is a healing modality that encompasses the mind and body connection. During life we store both positive and negative emotions deep within the body's cells, away from our conscious mind. We may think these stored emotions have no effect on us, however they can navigate our life through habitual behaviours, thoughts and belief patterns.

Breathwork allows the mind to remain focused on the breath and relax, thus allowing the body time and space to tell its story. The body can tell its story through felt sensations/energy moving and old memories resurfacing sometimes from childhood or important moments in our life. The wisdom of the body and breath is infinite, allowing these to connect, the old stories can be transformed into loving, empowering ones.

Allow the experience

During a breathwork session you may experience many different sensations within the body. This is different for everybody and no two breathwork sessions are ever the same.

 

These bodily sensations may be:

  • Temperature fluctuations - hot flushes/ cold temperatures

  • Subtle sparks or body twitches

  • Mind chatter - especially at the beginning, you may have thoughts that you can't do this

  • Dry mouth - this is the mind trying to keep us safe and comfortable

  • Muscle cramps - tetany- tightness in the hands, arms, face and other areas

  • Emotions - many emotions may arise, all are welcome in this space

  • Dizziness - you may feel light headed

  • Feeling the need for a toilet break - when large amounts of energy are moving within the body you may need to go to the bathroom, only you will know if this is a distraction or intuitively guided.

You may experience some or none of the above sensations, all is welcome as every breathwork session is unique.
